Wow – I’m in FL too – I have been both a school volunteer & employee (on & off) for several years, all ages from pre-K to high school – mostly in public schools. I have seen many things – dealt with all kinds of situations. My children have not had to deal with that garbage – the only thing that happened was nipped in the bud really fast by a kick-ass teacher and principal. I would question that teacher’s control of her class – totally unacceptable. It does not sound like it was handled well – did administration get involved – because this sounds really fishy. I don’t think that is indicative of all classes or schools. Hope virtual school works for your son – but it’s a shame your impression of our schools is so poor.

You might be surprised at how little time Josh may need to complete his lessons online compared to time spent in a traditional classroom. As I’m sure you’re well aware, most of a teacher’s time in class is spent trying to keep order and discipline rather than actual instructing. 5th grade is the new 8th as far as bad behavior goes (in this substitute teacher’s opinion). I hope this option works out for you guys!

Josh…You can do this. We keep that in our back pocket as an option for Tony. Yes, you just need to have a schedule and stick to it (as much as possible with the twins) but i have great faith in all of you and if you say you’re going to do this and make it work, you are going to do this and make it work! xoxo

Well, if Old McDonald has ALL of the diapers, the girls have?…NONE! and they’ll have to use the potty….just tryin’ to help long distance. xo Wish i could be there to enjoy the musical moment and happiness..all i get here is “boom chucka-boom chucka…boooty boooty on the floor” and whatever other words i can’t understand!
